The Story Behind Inner Power Institute
Helping High-Performers Rediscover the Magic of Presence so They’re Filled with Energy & Joy
You can't think your way out of a problem you didn't think your way into.
That's the truth most high-performers eventually discover—usually the hard way. We did too. We built the Inner Power Institute for leaders who've mastered success but lost themselves along the way. People running on empty, winning at work while depleted at home, technically alive but missing the best parts of life. Real transformation happens when clinical psychology meets the body's wisdom—when mind, body, and spirit finally work together instead of against each other. We don't give you something new. We guide you back to the aliveness that's been buried beneath years of pushing and performing.
Rebelliously Healing
We challenge the myth that success requires suffering.
Courageously Integrated
We don't separate mind from body, clinical from embodied, science from spirit.
Deeply Present
The most revolutionary act in a culture of constant achievement is being here, now, fully alive.
Authentically Powerful
True power comes from working with your body's intelligence, not against it.
Endlessly Curious
We blend ancient wisdom with modern science, clinical precision with embodied practices.
We work at the intersection of three domains
Clinical Psychology
Understanding emotional patterns, limiting beliefs, and internal systems
Somatic Intelligence
Accessing the body's wisdom through breathwork, nervous system regulation, embodied practices
Presence Practices
Cultivating the capacity to be fully alive in each moment
Partners In Marriage and Mission
Those three days in the hospital—and the months that followed—nearly destroyed us. Two people who loved each other deeply, processing the same trauma in opposite ways. One wanting to run toward everything. The other desperate to protect what they had. Same fear of death. Opposite reactions. What saved us wasn't marriage counseling alone. It was the integration of Amanda's clinical training and Nolan's somatic practices that finally allowed us to feel what the other was feeling, not just understand it intellectually.
This work isn't theoretical. It's what kept us together when every pattern we had was pulling us apart. We guide others through the same integration that saved our marriage and became our life's work—helping individuals and couples move from surviving success to thriving in aliveness. Because how you lead in your relationships is how you lead everywhere.
Meet Nolan Kim
At 34, Nolan's heart stopped. When he woke from a three-day coma, he thought the lesson was "life is short—hustle harder." It nearly cost him his marriage.
The real lesson came later: therapy helped him understand his patterns, breathwork helped him feel what was driving them. That integration of clinical psychology and somatic practices didn't just save his life—it saved his marriage and became his life's work.
Now he helps high-performers reconnect to their body's wisdom through breathwork, cold exposure, heat therapy, and nervous system training. He's guided Olympic athletes, Fortune 500 executives, and professional sports teams—but he's most passionate about people like his former self: successful on paper, running on empty underneath.
Meet Dr. Amanda Kim, PsyD
Amanda spent years in traditional therapy settings before realizing insight alone doesn't change deeply rooted patterns.
Her clients—executives, therapists, high-performers—weren't lacking awareness. They were lacking embodied practices to release what they understood intellectually. Then she spent three days in a hospital waiting room watching Nolan nearly die. And watched their marriage nearly collapse as they processed the same trauma in opposite ways. Clinical training alone wasn't enough.
Now she bridges clinical psychology and somatic wisdom—helping you identify the limiting beliefs and emotional patterns keeping you performing instead of living, then release them through the body, where they actually live.
